PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In partnership with the Ministry of Education of Rwanda, IEE supported infrastructural development at Kagugu Primary School in the outskirts of Kigali city. The project was also aimed at supporting the school with access to computers to support technology-enabled learning, and support with access to utilities: electricity, water and wireless internet. IEE in partnership with Bedford Elementary in New York, USA, coordinated opportunities for cultural, linguistic and social exchange between students at Bedford Elementary in New York and Kagugu Primary School. It was at this time that IEE started collaboration with the Ministry of Education to support learning and teaching in public education through its School-based Teacher Training (SBTT) Project.
